I like some of the comments posted under the article. They do have some points, GM is so overlapped it's not even funny! Back in the muscle car days (and beyond), Buick, Chevy, Olds, etc. were, for all intents and purposes, different companies. Now, they just change a body line and the badges and call the same thing a different name! Why don't they keep the Saturn vehicles and get rid of the names?

Instead of Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Saturn, etc...just have GM! Get rid of the triplicates, yet keep the cars that do sell. I just don't understand it...

I also kinda like that Idea. Would make a lot more sense considering there are so many Brands you can't keep them all straight.

In reality there is no need at all for having multiple Brand Name's when there all Produced under One Roof more or less.
