You'd have to expect at least a couple g's and lots of dyno/tuning. Be better off to trade up for a SS, IMO

Robs right. Some of them tuner cars you dont want to mess around with, they might give you a spanking you might never forget and make you run away with your tail between your legs. I used to work with a guy a few years back that built a CRX. I rode in it one day going to lunch with him and I was very surprised on how quick it was. He had a couple g's in the motor and believe me it was worth every penny he stuck into it. It was bad ass fast to say the least, if I remember correctly he his dyno numbers with out NOS was close to 400 HP. Nothing like a tiny little car with BIG ponies under the hood.

The 62 is from the cobalt. The L67's (GTP Grand Prix's, Regal GS) use a 90. GM makes a kit to adapt a 62 to the 2.2 but it is only for the cavailer and sunfire. Tuning the blower would be your biggest challenge.Everyone I've seen do this, simply gets the whole setup from an LSJ. Usually you can find deals on them. Some balt owners are going to a better blower or turboed. You won't make near that same power as a lightly modded SS, without going into the engine, but you would have it beat in low speed torque. If it were me, I would trade up for the SS.

They are 2 vastly different cars, despite being the same model. I would never have on of the base models. Just not enough performance. Any comparison is apples/oranges.

It's like the Mazda 3 vs. Mazdaspeed 3....

Mustang V6 vs. Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca

I'm sure the LT/LS is a fine automobile... in the same way a Toyota Camry is....

Stockers are typically 1.6L with a variety of options (some have vtech, some don't). If it was swapped with a 1.8L out of an Integra + some mods, it's not out of the question for it to be putting down 200hp+ (at the crank). Very easy to do in those little cars. There's also the weight...i'm guessing they are around 2600lbs. Tuning helps our cars, but a tune on a vtech motor does some crazy stuff. The odds of it having NOS are much less likely than bolt on's and a piggy back ecu and/or tune.

Cost effective way to make stiglitz faster...weight reduction!
Nit picking but you could get a 2.2 VTEC in the 4th gen as well.

Yeah, a little nit picky...didn't want to get into the fact that the H22 was available for a year or so on the 4th gen lude after the terrible 2.3L. but who's counting

Fellas, with a loan out, and having had a co-signer to get this one. I don't know how it would be possible to get one, and keep my current R.O.P. @$200/month and ~$130/month insurance... =(
