Looks like a Fleetline Special.

The VIN was on the door jamb and the engine.

Here's one for sale:

On my 47 the vin tag is a metal tag riveted on the firewall. It listed all the information abouth the car.

Contact the Texas Highway Patrol (State Police) and ask for the VIB Division or contact the Dept of Transportation (TDOT) if I am sure they are the only 2 that can replace a vin and Installed the Vin also. You will have to apply for a new Vin with the Highway Patrol if the vehicle has none, They will have to lift a Vin print off of the frame.

if you have any other question send me a PM with a number I can call you to further assist you.

On my '53 210 Deluxe, had the VIN tag riveted in the same location...On Top of the firewall..

It doesn't look to be a Fleetline,as those were fastbacks & only lasted 1 more model year.

Judging from no side trim, if it came that way I would say it's a "Styleline Secial", cause of this..
Specials served as price leaders, starting @ $1460.

Also the hood ornament is definately Not Styleline DeLuxe one.. They were noticably different..
Same for Bel-Air hood ornament, much Different. (had wings)...

What I think you have is a 1951 Styleline Special, which was very popular for low cost. Also Popular with the Police Depts for Patrol Cars too..

Plus, hood ornament is exact match. Which told a lot about each model..
