Angry Hit at Wal-Mart

Not me but my dad. He was backing out of a parking space when a lady on the other side flew backward out of her space and hit his van. She had a hitch on it. The gate will not close now.

Man, that SUX!
You never know when something stupid is gonna happen. At least it sounds like no one was hurt. But still.....

Well, look upon it as an opportunity......
Hmm, Maybe time for dad to fix and trade up to the new 2008 Town and Country. They look real cool and are a completer redesign. I almost waited, but went Honda instead. I love mini vans!

Anyway, I wish him good luck. Have him keep at the body shop and try not to use junkyard parts. Sometimes that is mandated by the insurance companies.

That's why everyone needs to avoid Wal-Mart like a plague! I went there for some crap a few months back and came out to a dent in my drivers side door from someones cart. That place blows dead donkeys!

Yeah, I don't like Wally World and a lot that it stands for. But when I go there, I usually park in the outfield. When you are my weight, you need all the exercise you can get.

Not going to happen. They just bought this one brand new last September.

Hills.....

Not really any of my business, but I am curious.

Accident didn't occur on a dedicated street. Was the police called and did they respond? If they came to the scene was a report made? If so, who was listed as #1 vehicle and driver?

Is your Dad expecting some difficulty with the insurance company(s)?

I'm guessing this is going to be one of those "fix your own damage" kind of things

That's the bad part. I was parked a mile from the place. I came out to no vehicles around me and a cart that had magically rolled uphill into my door. It's seems like Wal-Mart is a pretty common place for accidents.

Well, a couple weeks ago a girl was abducted and murdered at a Target in an upscale part of suburban Kansas City, and a couple months ago there was a big gang-related shooting at another one in an even nicer part of KC, so I guess you could say that we're not really safe at any big-box store at this point.

Adam Walsh was abducted from a Sears. Now Sears is arguably the highest-security store in North America. You are on camera in literally every inch of that store except for the restrooms and fitting rooms.

anytime an accident occurs, call the cops.. simple as that

i learned the hardway when some stupid kid in his daddys Merc-Benzo hit me from behind; i was nice cuz my parents knew the kids family(and kid was literally in tears that he had wrecked like 4 times already) and i was like give me the vitals i need...long story short the kid was like i didnt do anything, and finally he said it was just a scratch... well his dad was a good sport, i got the estimates, $450.. dent scratch wasnt worth fixing, and i went on a small vacation...

ALWAYS CALL THE POLICE AND MAKE A REPORT

ps : this was luck, i also have a 2003 Harley D F150 and some lady, while we were in home depot getting some stuff, with a huge 4x4 with hitch also rammed into the tailgate of my truck...she was ready to jet when some old mexican (and illegal, ironic?) made her stop and look for us in the store...well long story short, i ended up with close to 800; we fixed it outselves and kept about 500.. CALL THE POLICE NO MATTER

He called his insurance, went to the local police department, and filed an accident report at the state police office. Everything is already rolling towards getting it fixed.
