I was jumping ahead of the purchase. There’s a lot of videos about S10 chassis swapping on YouTube .
apparently a Yukon chassis also works

You are correct. I've looked at builds where people have used long bed or extended cab S10 chassis and had to shorten them to make it work.
A friend of mine had a 54 Olds 2 dr. Put a front sub chassis from a '69 Nova and ran an LS7 big block in it. We were a E-Town for old timers drags and when people saw that 4000lb plus car go 11's it was a favorite. Loved it.

I think for me , I get excited to see a new project, I followed the Speedway Motors shop truck build, loved it.
I was involved in a ground up new build of a brand new 51, GMC short box pickup, done in John Deere colours , it was a retirement gift for someone.
all new , nothing used , Christmas every delivery!
Loved the Dynacorn truck!

Blue steer me to this. Looked up Dynacorn and it's a company that makes bodies.

Quickly looked up the Speedway Motors shop truck build. It's just one comercial after another. Do it like they did (and they got stuff for free) and you better have a big bank roll. Lol.

I have had 0 luck in this endeavor.
no one seems to know anything, spoke to city, county and a couple of people from the area. city/county wont give out specific information (for obvious reasons) and no one Ive spoken with yet has lived in the area very long.
I sent a couple of feelers out to some acquaintances who have lived in my area for a while, hoping they might know someone who knows someone, but not looking real good atm.

Contact the storage company where it’s parked, see if you can get the VIN and contact the Sherriff, check it for wants and warrants.

it isnt actually at a storage facility, but at a gated building that looks abandoned. at least, it isnt being used nor has it been used in some time. there is a sign on the front that Ive looked into but the company has been out of business for some time now.
it really isnt looking good
only way to get VIN would be to hop the fence (not likely as its barbed and illegal).
I could maybe talk with a sheriff (town is small enough it doesnt have a police force, nor a chamber of commerce) but I honestly think my best option is a local who might know who owned/worked at the shop. a local mechanic shop would be great, except... there isnt one :/
