24.4 miles round trip to work each day. Another 25 each day for normal routine. So about 12000 a year for work/responsibilities.

The cool thing is that I fill up once every 14-15 days.

30.5 miles each way, but it gives me time to relieve some frustration on the way home.

That's roughly 691 miles per fill-up. Assuming you're not running it completely dry (16 gal usage) that means you're filling with , guessing here, 14 gallons per 14 day fillup, which would compute out to about 49mpg on the fuel used. Such mpg seems optimistic, either that or you installed a Tornado Fuel Saver AND fuel line magnets...

3.8 miles each way. And I'm not getting a bike either!

23 miles to work, 23 miles home. To work takes 20-25 minutes. Going home takes 40-50 minutes, sometimes more. Would love a manual tranny going to work, but must have an auto going home! My old knees make the decision here.

12000 miles a year=1000miles per month.

500 miles every two weeks=14-15 days

500 miles/14.25 gallons= my current DIC avg mpg

Get back to me on the magnets and tornadoes.

The extra 4 weeks of driving (48 weeks is less than a year)...are in my old faithful s-10.

10 miles to work, come home for lunch and to let my retired racing greyhound stretch her legs. 40 miles a day total.

I tried to post this last night but it kept saying "server busy try again later", popular place. Luckily I was able to paste the text elsewhere so I didn't have to remember/retype my post....lol.

Ooops I did the same thing. Took me longer to work it out as well being Canadian we travel in KMs and I assume this is MILES...lol. I take the bus to work, parking downtown is way to expensive and it's an express bus so it's about a 20 minute commute in rushhour by bus.

I have also been known to ride my bike to work. Now that takes a tad longer as the bike trail is not a "straight there" route but it's safer then the busy streets. It takes me about an hour and a half each way when I ride the bike so once a week is plenty. Haven't done it this year.

I've never run to work, well not all the way (just the last 5k) but I have run all the way home when I was training for a marathon. Running home takes me more then a couple of hours. Again I haven't done that this year as I'm only doing short distance races this year. Yeah I know I'm crazy but it's fun.

Throw in one of those $20 resistor "chips" off eBay that'll boost my HP by 60, and you got a deal
