How much does a car wash cost you?

Simple question how much does one cost in your area? I know a lot of you guys won't go to car washes etc, so we don't need to know that they are "free" cause you do them yourself (and your products prob cost a good amount). I am just curious, they seem ridiculous expensive here and there aren't a lot of options.

$8 for an express
$12 Plus
$15 Works

Just seems ridiculous to me. My place in my hometown it was like $7 for everything and more and a smile. Got an express in town tonight because i have a book of them as a gift, my car is cleaner, but not really CLEAN! Can't wait til it warms up and I can do them again.

I no longer go to them but my favorite was Mikes Carwash in Fort Wayne. They have an awesome system and I think the most expensive was $13. Here is their website: Mikes Carwash

There is one newer one in town that is $13 for the works and I steer clear of that unless it is the work vehicle and I'm not buyin!

The one I usually use in the winter is $9 for the works if you buy 8 gal. gas and $7 for the next one down. I useally use the $7 one as I really don't see any difference.

$7.99 Costco. Their machines do a mighty fine job.

I pay $11.00 for the works at a one unit touchless sprayer at a pensoil quick lube place. The undercarage sprayer is worth the cash, i move about a 2 inches a min. to loose all the salt.

$25 at the good one down the street. It's one where you get out and they run it through then they towel dry it afterwards and armorall the inside. Good in a pinch when I don't have time to do it all myself.

Otherwise I use the $8 no-touch wash and do the detailing myself.
