During the winter, I go here: http://deltasoniccarwash.com/ . I get the "Super Kiss" for $11.99. It includes a 5-day guarrantee(free re-wash within 5 days, no questions). I tip the towel kid five bucks since they're standing out in the cold. When the wash is done, I take a walk around the car. If I'm not happy with it, they let me go back through, no problem. Nice friendly place, excellent customer service.

I go to the coin operated pressure wash places. It costs me around $6 for a wash.

I prefer the $.25 stall joints. Usually ends up costing me about $4 by the time I wash and vaccuum. I keep a set of clean towels in the back under the cover so I can dry it off. I always spray down the brushes before I use them, just to make sure they are clean and free of schmutz.

I'm one of those weirdo's that don't mind getting out to wash the car when it's 15 degrees tho...clean car is my happy place!

The only time I do take mine to the car wash it to get the salt and crude washed off of the undercarriage. Other than that, I prefer to hand wash and wax my HHR myself - I guess it is something I learned from my dad growing up. Not only do I have the satisfaction of knowing it is truly clean (never trusted automated car washed to get it clean), but it gives my time to look for those little paint chips and nicks. Then I can get them touched up before I wax it and keep the rust bunnies away.
