Guys,
From the sounds of it I was very lucky indeed. TomsHHR story is quite amazing.
My Corvette is a Z06 and most of the parts on it are common to the regular coupe and convertible. The fiberglass part is the doors and quarter panels. The roof, hood and back hatch are sheet moulded plastic. Z06s get carbon fiber front fenders and an aluminum frame for weigh savings. Those fenders if busted are astronomically expensive for their 3 pounds of weight........this could have been ugly.
