Ice Storm!

Well I just got home from work, and had to drive through an ice storm. We have winter storm warnings and ice storm warnings up here and it is really coming down. I have a 50 mile trip one way, and that trip home took over 2 hours tonight. The good news is the HHR handled the slippery roads very well. No problems at all, other than having to stop a few times to clean the ice that built up on the wipers. The bad news is this ice storm is supposed to last until Sunday night! I just hope we don't lose power. They are calling for an inch or more of ice, then a change over to snow with 5-6 inches late Sunday night.

The only damage i had was I cut a small bit of the rubber trim at the bottom of the windshiled with my aggressive scraping, but that shouldn't be a problem, it was a small piece.

keep that crap! I wouldn't mind some snow, but ice just sucks. Hope you can spend the weekend home watching the ice fall without worries.

Hey Doug
I am very happy that you made it home safe. Do you have Heated Mirrors on your HHr and does any one have them on their HHr, I wish my Ride had Heated Mirrors. My last SUV had them and I said I would never have a vehicle with out them ever, but when I purchased my HHr I liked it so much I wasnt thinking of asking about the Heated mirrors.

Well thats not that bad. Replacement rubber is easy to find too.

PS: Z-Man, the SX4 has heated mirrors standard.
