Actually, with the wind chill factor, it was 14F here last night at 3:37AM (I have a weather station). Been unusually cold here.

Oh, so you decided to go with solar heat instead of electric for the mirrors?

Actually this winter has been very mild. Except for an early October snowstorm we have had very little if any snow since then. This morning there was some ice on the car. Maybe if you turned your mirror just right you could reflect some heat over to my HHR's mirrors to defrost them.

Well I see CH finally got some weather, albeit ice. We've had plain old rain at my house (something new) but just north is getting ice. We'll see what the rest of the week brings although they say Wednesday the temperature here won't get out of the single digits. Guess this all means the vacation is finally over and winter has arrived.

not having heated mirrors is one of my biggest gripes about the HHR, so this time for all the ice we got here in oklahoma, i just left it at home, and drove the daily driver (99 Caviler) because it has heated mirrors.

1" of snow thats all, How much do you need to just cover the Ice out by you.
Tony what ever you do please dont send Breez out to shovel the Snow that is covering the Ice

Chicago is not going to get a lot of snow at least thats what the Ch5 News states.

The ice storm brought us a little adventure last night. We have a large maple tree next to the power lines, and last night a limb bent onto the lines from the weight of the ice and caused it to spark as the wind blew it back and forth across the wire. The sound it made was loud and scary. We thought for sure it was going to catch fire or knock out our power. Thankfully it didn't, it finally burned through the branch and fell to the ground. Made for an interesting night to say the least.

Well, it appears the entire country will be affected by this storm. We're expecting rain in the panhandle tonight and a high, that's a high in the 40s in the next few days. We just enjoyed a beautiful weekend of sunny and 70s. Time to get out the gloves and scarfs.

I feel for all you guys with the ice. I remember ice skating on concrete in my backyard in St Louis one winter. That was quite an ice storm!

No ice storm here, but for the 3rd night we are looking at temps below the freeze mark here in Phoenix. We are not use to this at all.

Guess you could say Hell is freezing over lol

People were talking about and preparing for this ice storm all last week, and I watched the prequel to it on the news. It said it was from a cold front coming from Canada. But then, I watched the live radar thing, and the storm was moving northeast. I just thought that was kinda weird lol. Newspeople need to get their directions right
All in all, Enid, OK got covered with 2-2.5 inches of ice. I can't even leave footprints in it, it's so thick and frozen.

You guys wanna see some ice? Check out this slideshow at one of the new station websites. A water main pipe broke at an apartment complex here and spewed water all over the place and with the artic cold temps we've had, some of the vehicles had several inches of ice on top of them.

Check these out. This happened yesterday afternoon.
