That`s called EVOLUTION, wings and computers.
There are open wheel series that turn left/right. F1.

Let's just hope they get to finish it. Why does it always rain in Indy in May?

I have to saw that I miss some of the old announcers. I've been watching this race since the '60s and most of the old guys are gone. Actually, my dad and I would listen to it during the day then watch it that night.

Well, as we all know, they did NOT get to finish it. I feel so incomplete! Is the guy that won it just a lucky son of a gun or a bonified winner? What happened to Danica in the pit - I was outside painting. I've been to Indy500's when I was little and now just watch them, but I never heard the term open wheel before.

And what in the heck are the WINGS people keep asking for MORE of??

And how come the winner is called a Scotsman with an italian name like Dario - wasn't it Dario?? Or is it like Hockey where Russians come to the U.S. and join teams and such?

F1. Isn't that the "Everyone get in line and ride around the racetrack series"? Just joke'n. I don't have a problem with computers for data acquisition, but when they are used for remote tuning, it takes the tuning and car setup out of the hands of the crew chief. American racing has always been about innovation and creativity for on track success, that seems to be lost on the Indycar series. Just my .02 worth.

So much for the rain, It was nice to see Danica in 3rd at the end, I missed 2 minutes before the rain call off but they were on the yellow.
Back in the 74-75 I raced mini-modified with bodies or open front wheels, 4 cyl only. And this was in Hawaii Raceway Park..... Shaka Bra!!!! Speaking of Hawaii in two weeks June 10th I head that way and hope to get a HHR for my stay there..

There could be a Find my HHR Contest brewing with a Chrome Stubby as the prize.

The winner was just at the right place at the right time. Yes, I was pulling for Danica also.

I've lost some interest in Indy car racing after they had that brawl with CART. I used to love the Indy drivers on the CART circuit. But now the Indy speeds have just gotten too excessive. It's amazing anyone survives those crashes. I bet Mario Andretti is hurting today, even if he didn't break any bones!
