Intersting article about American car quality
Your American HHR is only 1/2 American according to the sticker.

My American car (HHR SS) has been one of the least reliable cars I have ever owned. At only 4,000 miles so far it has been in the shop more than I have been able to drive it. I had the same experience with the horrible PT Cruiser that I used to own. My old Hyundai Elantra daily driver with 150,000 miles on it is more reliable than my brand new HHR SS. In fact, when my gf has to travel out of town for work she takes the elantra since she has had the HHR SS break down on her multiple times when she has taken it on business trips. That is just sad.
Our 2006 HHR had a lot of issues too, electrical, wheel bearings dying early, front struts bad and so on.

It's almost an "insider" document. But it does resolve some questions that have been posted to this forum. Of course, these GM's decisions are up for questions/criticizm/analysis......again.
What do you think ChevyMgr, should I post it.....to an approriate thread .....or maybe new????

Gee my HHR has only been in the shop for oil changes. I have had none of the problems complained about here. I also hang out on a few Toyota sites and their complaints are the same as here. Some worse like the high pressure oil line blowing and having to wait weeks for a replacement on their brand new Camrys.

Impressive job
Good for you!
I run a large medical research center, not quite as important and not related to this subject but since you felt the need to post up your job I thought I would throw mine out there too just to be a smart@ss lol.
Glad you think chevy is #1, I own several cars of different makes and I know what I experience so that is what I am going to go by.
I would say 3 late model domestic cars purchased brand new with a slew of issues that amount to significantly more than an old beat import
again, is just sad.
I love my HHR but I am quite frustrated with all the issues both of them have had.
I also find it quite amusing all the members here that have problem after problem with the quality of their chevy's and still blindly follow the brand like it is the only one out there.
Personally I just buy what I like, regardless of brand.
I find it quite boring to buy the same car, the same color and so on like a lot of people do.
Also, please note the random smileys inserted into the post. I hope you enjoyed them.

ChevyMgr.....
You are absolutely correct. You shouldn't post it or even provide a comment regarding the request for posting. Other than admonishing me.
I'm retired and probably could get "black listed". But hey, it's on a public website. So I'll post a link to it as a new thread.
On second thought and after some consideration, I decided not to post that information. IMO, it will only cause dissension, adverse commentary and disruption.
