Just bought 06 HHR
Just bought 06 HHR
Ok, Yesterday I drove my first HHR, I bought it at a pretty good price "I think" and today I drove it home.
The Good: 2LT, Daytona Blue, Cashmere Leather, Polished Alloys, 2.4, Pioneer. The paint and exterior is truly tip top, the leather is excellant, and the wheels are super with no curb rash at all with tires at about 70%!
The Bad: 108K on the clock, has a "Thunk" in front end when going over bump mostly on right side (Not bad). Steering wheel controls are screwed up! The buttons on the left side (DIC) are intermittent and the clear button appears to act as menu button while the cruise buttons seem to work fine. The right side radio control buttons are screwed as well the + volume control turns the volume down.
So, I just got started on this project and any assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Welcome to the world of the HHR and the front suspension clunk. I think just about everyone has that. There are a lot of threads about how to cure it but I still haven't seen a perfect solution. Good luck and a lot of great information of this board.

I had the clunk in the front end when going over bumps and replaced the front sway bar rubber end bushings, $70 installed. Clunking sound disappeared.
