Thanks Joe.....THAT is exactly my thoughts and feelings !!! BS is typically, just BS. AND should have a disclaimer so indicating, or revealed as such.

But Sindy, the claims some members make for either high or low mileage could be construed as false claims.

Kidding people, kidding.

BIG PRINT: 156 MPG!

SMALL PRINT: Coasting down hill on a 22% grade in neutral for 10 miles...with the engine off.

Well I could not control it.........sorry.....
I was getting on the turnpike (R80) southeast, and the entire way from downtown to the pike entrance I could not get over 24-29mpg at 59mph...I thought that is funny?????? I wanted to stop and see if I had run someone over and was dragging them.....

As I pulled up to the toll booth, I grabed the ticket, and set my parking brake, and then lowered it. Reset my ODO B, AVG MPG, and continued to the Pittsuburgh airport and back to C-town. 32.3mpg 65-70mph NO COASTING, I was in a hurry. I really need to take my HHR in for a parking brake check.

"I perfer the errors of IGNORANCE to the INDIFERANCE of knowlage" Readers Digest circa 1963... lived by this since high school as a supervisor and dept head. wish more people would

as far as the word "FORMULA" didn t mean to suggest that it MPG was based on a pen and paper derivation. some of you must have misunderstood me on that point...

the HHR ads for the past two days simply say "the HHR gets up to 30 mpg" doesn t say city or hwy... just 30 MPG... that is like advertising that a gallon of gas is $4.3299... we all know that is $4.33 but we feel better because we saved one hundredth of a cent. same with MPG everyone likes to think that they re getting something better... the car mfgs don t want prespective buyers thinking about the lower EPA numbers until they re actually on the lot.

and yes we have gotten 35 mpg... four mile down hill strech
SNOOPY... the lost post thing has happened to me several times... started to r clk copy before submittingg... then if it blows up on my i just paste it into a .txt file for later... doesn t fix the problem... but keeps me from throwing the keyboard acrossed the room.
and this is the 1st time in at least 13 hours that i have been able to get to the site
