Loving my 2.2 LT HHR

I had an HHR for a short period of time prior to the 08 LT I now have. I have currently owned this one for 10 months and it has been used primarily for short trips. I had been thinking about getting a low mile 10 or 11 or even something else.
My thoughts have changed since the car took me on a road trip of over 2,000 miles round trip. Speeds mostly over 80 were no problem and much of it in heavy rain. Handling and stability were great even when I diverted to some canyon carving during a dry period.
Mileage was 26- 29 mountains and flatland.
The little clunks I hear in town were never evident on the road.
Best of all was complete comfort regardless of situation.
So, i now love this one and will not change to another. It turned 80,000 on the trip and still has a lot of go remaining.
I will repair and maintain and probably save a buck or too over a late model trade.
Life is real good!

I know the feeling....

I just bought my 8th one. a 2010 1LT with only 14,000 one owner miles.
2.4L auto.

Finally came to my senses in the fact that the HHR is in a class of it's own.

They really do have a Special ergonomic feel to them.

The only issue I have is with the overall quality they put into them but remember what a New one sold for as well.

Once you get all the issues and little annoyances taken care of they are a Joy to drive.

I can also tell you that all 8 of the ones I have owned were different in how they drove and felt. All have been 2010 and 2011 models

This new one is the quietest and best body fit of all so far.

In looking ahead you just fix what goes wrong and move on.

My '07 LS has been a great ride for the last 5 years and 155,000 miles.
It is comfortable, great mileage, easy to maintain and an awesome attention getter!!!
We have decided to just keep it as long as I can turn the wrench!
