Damn salt sure shorten the life of a car body. Cold garage, so I don't get anything done: snugglin' --after 32 yrs of marriage (hell at times), I haven't seen that in awhile

08, you need to find something positive and soon! To warm the cold garage, I use one of those electric oil-filled heaters. It takes the chill off but doesn't get the temp up to what your house would be. I have my washer and dryer in the garage and that heater makes a big difference.

Yes, it gets cold in the panhandle also. We hit 39 a few mornings ago which is very odd for this early in the winter. But, we usually have 6 months of 70-80 degree temps so it's a great place to live.

A washer would freeze up like an ice cube and not thaw until Spring up here.

quote jx3: "Why not move?? Here in Miami there would be no need to put away those toys, and you could even be cruising all winter w/ the top down."

Why not stay there and truck your toys out to me for "storage" during the winter months?

But then he'd need to worry about wild fires and earthquakes .

NOTE....disclaimer.....I IN NO WAY wish any harm to you and yours, the above was mentioned in an attempt, maybe poor, at humor.

Believe or not but we have had earthquakes here in n.e. Ohio. Usually up closer to Lake Erie around the Painsville area. Back in the mid 80's I was working in a shop about 20 miles east of Cleveland and the whole place began to shake, the woman began to panic, I thought is was neat how the ceiling beams moved back and forth. It was a 5. something They say there is a fault in the area also and hear NYC is on one that will really shake things up if it ever moves, will make Calif look like a lamb. How about the St Louis, Mo area, big one back in the 1800 that caused the Mississippi river to flow in reverse north for awhile.

It's going to be a few degrees above freezing tomorrow and I'm going golfing.

Not sure if I'm dedicated to the game or just stupid...I'm leaning towards the latter at this point
