I transfered the balance from my Discover card when they changed my due date by 4 days, so when I paid it online 2 days before it was really 2 days late. They bounced me to damn near 30%, and I had never been late, or over limit before. I'll keep the card and never carry a balance again. As a little FU to them, I'm keeping it an active account, but will never use them again.

No, nevermind... I'll dig into the bank and pay cash for the tires I think. No sense charging $500, then I'll never get the cards paid off!

Well I'm not planning on moving out now for at least 6 months anyways, but I agree. My plan is to buy as much as I can while I can afford it. I don't mean like stupid things like wheels or tires I don't need, I'm talking computer, some furniture, dishes...house things.

6 months is better. Not easy to do either..
I've heard it more commonly as 8 months now. Probably more to deal with the job market that if you lose your job, you are most likely not finding another one in 3 months. Or at least if you worked for some place for 20 or so years, you aren't finding another job to equal that in 3 months.

The Wal-Marts here in Southern California are fully stocked with their summer wear!

I remember the days when making a pair of swim trunks by cutting the legs off an old pair of Levis that holes in the knees was the cool thing to do. Hence the term 'cut offs'!
It must have been a 60/70's thing because ya just don't see it around too much anymore.

If ya can't pay cash for it you don't really need it that bad is what my dad always said!
Gotta know your limits and think about what is needed and wanted.

When ya don't have the extra money you would be surprised on what you can learn to live without. (I've learned this lesson by personal experience!)

Agreed, & I think that is also when creativity can really flourish. You figure out how to make something or modify it with little to no money involved..

& I remember the cut-offs too.. Mainly cause I had them...
