Hi, y'all -

I am sure that you have all heard about Michael Vick's "Bad Newz Kennel" that he was running in Virginia...if you haven't read the indictment, the treatment of those animals was absolutely abhorrent and inhumane to say the least.

Please take a moment to visit the link below that has been created by the Humane Society of America, and let the NFL know what you think.

Let's all unite and take care of this guy - once and for all!

Well it certainly appears we have double standards here in the U.S. of A..
A guy, celebrity/sports figure, has a dogfight arena going on, maybe it`s because it`s a common household animal involved, he should be run out of town on a rail...
Another guy, rich/famous, goes to a farm, this farm raises animals for sport hunting..deer, ducks, geese, bear, you know , animals (non-domestic).
This guy goes to this range/farm/preserve, with a weapon, none are issued to the animal, he can shot at anything he wants, and there`s nothing the animal can do...
I believe this guy is considered an "American Sportsman". Hmmm

B/B there is a big difference between hunting and dog fighting just like your past UFC example. It has nothing to do with it being a domestic household animal either. Look at some of the ways they put the losers down and so forth. With the Vick case I know of at least 3 of the ways they killed the dogs. One was hung, a second was repeatedly slammed into the ground, and a third was doused in water then hit with a live electric line to electrocute the thing. It is also known that Vick was consulted before the dog’s electrocution and he made the choice. Would you choose to electrocute an injured dog? It’s just wrong to raise a dog to kill in the first place. They train the dogs in mean ways like forcing them to pull weights all the time and they beat them to make them meaner. Then there is the no feeding them before the fight and just generally how the dogs are kept throughout their miserable life. It's animal abuse; there is no way around it. Even if an animal is raised on a farm to die it is not subject to the horrible life of abuse and sorrow that a fighting dog lives. Trust me; watch some actual dog fight footage and do some research into dog fighting and your opinion will change. If it doesn't then you seriously have something wrong with you or absolutely have no heart.

In my opinion, it should be "eye for an eye." Prison is way too easy. Free housing, free food, free showers, hell they can even still do illegal activities in prison. It's a waste of taxpayer's money.

Besides, if we had tougher punishments, don't you think that people would be even a little less inclined to act criminally? I know that there will always be crime; no utopia for this species. People wonder why the crime-rate has sky-rocketed over the past decades. It's not hard to figure out. This country's soft and humans in general are not very smart. Sure, we're the most intelligent species on the planet, but look at some of the stuff we do. Then you have some on here who aren't even AGAINST the CRIMINAL in the argument, even if they're not taking up for him directly. So while you *bleep* and moan about some of our thoughts on what his punishment should be, just take a look at the bigger picture for a change.

But this *explitive* will just get fined, if anything, and go about his merry *bleeping* way. It pisses me off.

BB how many times do you have to be told...you are wasting your time trying to defend this thug. What part of "illegal activity" do you not understand? This goofball has all the money in the world, fame and celebrity, yet he still acts like a street punk. Face it, the guy has more money than brains.

I just love to see the rich and (somewhat) famous fall - they don't know how to live, much less spend money accordingly, and once they start getting these endorsements, they think they're bulletproof. Just another thug who has what some would refer to as talent - which will not help him get out of this mess. You can take the thug out of the hood...... etc.

I think that Vick should be severely punished along with anyone else that does this. Some people think "it's only an animal so what?" It appalls me that some human beings can be so so cruel and heartless!
Another incident that really railed me was the time Troy Gentry from Montgomery Gentry allegedly shot that caged bear! What are people thinking when they do this crap? How can they think this is FUN? They have to be demented that's for sure. They are dangerous human beings; if they can do that to an innocent animal what are they capable of doing to another human being?
If you look at serial killers that is how they started by mistreating and torturing animals.
I hope they give this lowlife scum bag a prison sentence (and some other inmate will be an animal lover and show him what is like to be tortured.
I have no respect for anyone that condones this behavior.
