By the same token, is anyone surprised by his actions? I can't count the number of times over the past few years I've had to change the TV channel because of the arrogant, idiotic actions of some people - rich and famous or otherwise. While I'm not blaming the media for reporting on things like this (which they and several others I'm sure will say they are "required" to do so), they certainly have found a way to sensationalize things - even when it has resulted in tragedy. Even CNN, which used to be a somewhat respectable news channel, now has talking heads with their own shows that explore these issues ad nauseum - and it's ridiculous. But like many other things in life, they will continue and we still sit here frustrated.

Honestly I'm not surprised. I've come to expect celebrities, especially athletes to do ridiculously stupid stuff that any of us with some common sense wouldn't be doing. Dog fighting is kind of extreme and unexpected though.

Yea.. you'd expect the drunken car crashes and stuff, but dog fighting was sort of out of the blue

A guy, celebrity/sports figure, has a dogfight arena going on, maybe it`s because it`s a common household animal involved, he should be run out of town on a rail...
Another guy, rich/famous, goes to a farm, this farm raises animals for sport hunting..deer, ducks, geese, bear, you know , animals (non-domestic).
This guy goes to this range/farm/preserve, with a weapon, none are issued to the animal, he can shot at anything he wants, and there`s nothing the animal can do...
I believe this guy is considered an "American Sportsman". Hmmm

First of all I'll at least agree with you it one respect that hunting on these "game" ranches is a joke. No sport in that at all....Now I'm not an anti-hunter and have many friends that do hunt. I understand the need and reason for it....in the wild. Hunting animals in a fenced off area just for the hell of it is pretty lame.

Heck I'll loan the deer a long gun but somehow I'm not quite sure he would accept it or even know what to do with it

Just for the record I wouldn't think anything different if it was Tom Brady, Yao Ming, David Ortiz, Peyton Manning, Jorge Posada or any other sports figure who did these despicable acts. Pretty cowardly...I hope he has some sort of protection if he ends up in prison...even the most hardened murderous criminals hate 2 things more than anything....people who have hurt kids and people who have abused animals

Vick is done....it will be almost impossible for him to recover from this...I don't think the Feds would have brought him up on charges unless they have some pretty tight evidence on him.

What an absolute azz he is....pissing away everything for something so cruel and asinine as dog fighting..

and we were led to believe that his brother Marcus was the bad one

Those are human fighters, shouldn`t the promoters of those fights be treated with the same disdain as Vick..?

are you serious? either you're messing around to get some people riled up, or you really believe dog fighing and UFC are comparable. I dont know man, I just dont know about your opinion sometimes...

If he likes to do drugs fine......I mean he's got the money but with that much money you would think he would pay someone to carry his drugs. He can definitely afford his own private mule. If he's as stupid as he is then he definitely deserves whatever he gets. At least the whole Ron Mexico herpes deal was kind of funny.

I think you're all blowing this way out of proportion. M. Vick is a good human being and he was just giving homeless dogs a place they can call "home". He provides threadmills so the dogs can get their daily exercise. Apart from being a humble and respectable citizen of the community, he provides entertainment to the masses by showing off his dogs' talents in the ring. Putting these dogs down after losing a fight showed compassion in Vick's part, for he did not want to see the animals suffer any more than they have to. I say the NFL should give an award to Vick for being a great representative of the NFL, and have the whole state of VA including the senators apologize to him immediately for making such ludicrous statements.

Oh and the "alleged" use and possession of marijuana, it was for his cataracts. Don't hate on a playah!

While everyone is talking about Vick, what charges do you believe he will FINALLY face. And if he is convicted what is the punishment going to be (NOT WHAT YOU SUGGEST. THERE"S BEEN ENOUGH OF THAT).

I say, he will "cop" to lesser charges, pay a fine and do community service. The FINAL charges are still in the air.
