Motor Trends Worst Handling 2010 Vehicles

The 10 Worst Handling Cars Motor Trend Tested in 2010

We all love talking about cars that pull over 1.0g on the skidpad or come dangerously close to setting records on our Figure Eight course, but there’s also the other end of the scale. You know, the cars riding on hockey puck tires, the SUVs that are more than a handful to handle, the lumbering, understeer-prone minivans. To be fair, the vehicles on this list make no bones about being anything more than they are, so take these numbers with more than a grain of salt. For your perusal, here are the 10 worst performers in our Motor Trend Figure Eight test of 2010:

My Note: 8 Asian vehicles...snicker snicker....

Seems to be a consistent pattern to the "winners", minivans, SUV's, and econo boxes. I'm not sure you'd really drive any of them for fun so ultimate handling is a moot point, just whether they can dodge a kid chasing a ball without falling over. As far as 8 being Asian, there seem to be some real problems brewing over at Japan Inc., just look at Honda's shrinking market share and quality issues. Toyota is just a mess these days, running ahead of lawsuits and panicking over more recalls. I'd have never believed the Korean car companies would be coming on as strong as they are, after all the first Hyundai's were horrible....but they did make Yugo's look cheap...ummm...cheaper.

Their vans... they aren't suppose to be good handling cars. They're suppose to haul your brats and punk kids to soccer practice.

That the CRZ is on the list didn't surprise me at all. Honda is trying to kindle something with memories of the CRX which was a motorized roller skate and according to those with one, just about driving perfection. The CRZ is just an Insight in a pretty dress, all show and no go.

I didn't get an HHR for road racing, drag racing or off roading. I got it as a box with wheels to haul stuff when I need to and get good fuel ecnomy
