My Company Non-Car
Well here it is, the 2015 KIA Soul 1.6 GDI in "Non Committal Tan", or whatever they actually call it.
Just a couple of quick "grab' shots in the Cracker Barrel parking lot on our way to a much deserved Mini-Vacation last week.
As far as driving impressions go. It moves when you press the right pedal, it stops when you press the brake, if you turn the wheel it goes in the chosen direction, the stereo stinks, the seats are harder than oak church pews, and its mind numbingly boring to drive for more than 30 minutes.
But, it'll save some miles on the HHR's, and if it gets a door ding...I won't be homicidal.

No mods planned whopper, the company will take it away next March and give me something else.
I'll just feed it, wash it, wax it, and keep my fingers crossed that its replacement has softer seats.
Ever notice how we almost never get complaints on the Lear-Seigler seats in the HHR's?
I still believe they are the most comfortable "butt holders" in any vehicle made since the late 60's to the late 70's.

Not a bad idea George, it would be a bit less embarrassing if it weren't "poopy" colored, I think my son nailed it on the shade.
Valet parking will be fun, "we have the poopy colored KIA", if you put this paper bag over your head...folks won't see you driving it.

We used to call that color 5hltbringle brown! I thought I'd made it went my company got me a car , 1983 Buick Rivi in the aforementioned diaper squeezed color!
I had a two year lease on that one, my next lease was a midnight blue 85 Buick Regal , much better in the visual color spectrum!

Corporate brown.
A good friend of mine gets a new company van every couple of years. For the last 25 years or so he has always had some shade of brown.
Said he was a little leery of changing colors. Didn't want to "lose" his van in a parking lot looking for the wrong color.

I feel ya on the seats, my fiances '13 Elantra had me ready to walk the rest of our trip after the first hour, those seats are hard as a rock. Maybe I am in the minority here but I'm not real big on the HHR seats either, but they are tolerable for most trips I take.
FWIW: I have been in just about anything you can think of from a Ford GT to Ferrari/Lambo down to dirt cheap beater cars..the most comfortable seats I have ever driven in are 04-06 GTO seats! I would pay good money to have those swapped in my HHR.

First thing that comes to mind when I look at the Kia Soul is those hamster commercials. You haven't turned into a hamster driving it have you Mike lol? I agree they probably could've gone with a different color, but hey you can't really complain with a free car to drive around in. I also agree that the seats in the HHR are really comfortable. Especially on long trips.

Well my wife wants me to get a set of the European model limited edition "Hamstar" stripes for it, but it's bad enough that it's the color of poo, why put stripes on it?
I will give it one "thumbs up" though, it's tons easier fitting a child seat into it than an HHR, the back doors open really wide.
