My condition.
My condition.
Hello, I want to be transparent ( no not like plexiglass) and make an announcement, on December 15th, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncologist and surgeon are taking good care of me, just waiting for an MRI to get a better idea for the plan to irradiate this evil stuff.
Sweety is a great coach to calm me down and explain what I can expect during the surgery and chemotherapy.
Thank you in advance for comments .
I will survive this and continue as Administrator and driving the BlackSwan.
There it’s out of the box now.

You get well. If you don't know the Lord you would find Him a great help.
He did something for me to keep me from having a real bad stroke.
I had a stroke in December but it could have been very bad. Here's my year long journey.
This is a written testimony to my church of how the Lord kept me from great harm.
Over the last few years my walk with the Lord has gotten very close. I understand what kind of challenges people who are used by the Lord will have to go through. A year ago I asked the Lord to use me. He was using me prior but I wanted to do more for Him. I started having issues with my eyes and in February I went to the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor to have my eyes dilated and get the full spectrum of testing. They made my glasses and a month later they came in the mail but did not work for me. They had me go to the Flint VA Clinic to have the lenses checked. The lenses were ground to the prescription but did not work as well as my old glasses. They had me do a standard test at the Clinic and they found my eyes had changed and ground me new lenses. A month later in August the new glasses arrived and did not work at all well. I called ophthalmology in Ann Arbor and was asking for a referral to a local office to be checked. Seems they are the closest so I made an appointment for December 14th to have them do the full routine again. Two weeks before my appointment I got up in the morning and I felt normal but during the day I realized my vision was strange. That evening I noticed funny things going on while I was reading and I closed my left eye and my right eye was a full picture but there were little gray balls throughout the field of vision. They are small but numerous enough to make details hard to focus on but the areas not effected were clear and the picture is easy to see as a whole. The balls blur maybe 10% of the whole. At any rate, I didn't bother with it since I had my eye appointment right around the corner. On the 14th I made my appointment and told them of my issues and they were very interested in my symptoms. They took pictures of my eye and after the techs looked at the ones for the back of my eye, which is the retina, they noticed the color was yellowish and distinctly different than the rest of the normal eye. He got the Ophthalmologist who said it looked like a vascular problem. The next thing I have two doctors from the U of M looking at me and they suggested I have a scan of my neck and head. They found the occlusion (95% blockage) and needed to do several other tests to figure the best course of action. These tests could take several days as an inpatient or several months as an outpatient. (When they did the 3D imaging of the inclusion it looked like a cluster of grapes in there). I talked with the Lord about this and He let me know that this wasn't all about me. He had me where He wanted me. I told the doctors to admit me and get it resolved. The Lord made it clear to me that He wanted me to testify to these people. That night my prayer was about them and not me. He used me to tell this account to every nurse, doctor and patients on that floor. It was remarkable how He took over and used my mouth to glorify Himself. I speak of the Lord to people quite a bit but these were the sweetest conversations I have ever had. In recovery the doctors came to talk with me about the procedure. They told me about the grape cluster and said that in stokes it's always one of the grapes that break off and plug a vessel. They said they don't know how but, in my case, they say a small piece of a grape was nicked off somehow and found its way to the blood vessel that feeds that part of the eye. They never seen anything like this and could not explain how it happened. The Lord opened my mouth and explained to them along with His power to create or dislodge a small piece of calcium in my neck. The one doctor had the 'he's a nut job' look but the other doctor was very interested. What becomes of the seeds that were planted is not my business but the Lord answered my prayer to be used for His glory. This is the first of a new journey for me. I expect to be used in other ways as well. We dedicate our homes, businesses and children to the Lord but I never thought of dedicating a non-physical gift to Him. He has given me a gift for music that I never used much and about at the same time I asked to be used of Him I dedicated the gift of music He gave me back to Him. My guitar playing has improved greatly since. He will take it where He wants. I'm just along for the ride.

Thanks everyone. Somebody said to me , are you angry with God for giving you cancer? I said he didn’t give me cancer, but I thank him for giving me the strength and grace to fight it!
Get well soon!
My father had colon cancer back in 1986. He had surgery and lived many years after that.
Because of this family history, I had to start colonoscopies at the age of 40, every 3-5 years (depending on whether they found any polyps that looked bad).
