Buick prototype, or as the called them back then "car of the future". Rear of body lifts to expose the straight eight, great design for late forties/early fifties.

I have to say that I've seen this car. But that's it, I think because I've seen it my active thinking is now stuck. I'll get it though, it will take some time. I think it is a kit car for some reason.
