The formerly French and now a naturalized citizen lady of the house still insists that ugly beast has some Panhard in it. She grew up around Panhard cars since her Grandfather had a string of ailing Dyna's during her childhood.

Since I've had no luck with the Standard Catalog of French Automobiles, perhaps a hint might be in order to jar something loose in the combined memory banks here on this end.

Maybe a different view will help, probably not, which, I wouldn't think it looks like a Panhard.

This might be a clue. It is reflected in the name.

Honestly with all the issues I'm dealing with like flood damage to two of my stores, I've stopped pondering on the Gallic beasty, I hate throwing in the towel but you can't know everything...so just what is that silly thing anyway?

Was thinking that it may have been an early form of the Pacer.

1948 Mathis 666..........6 cylinder, 6 passenger, 6 speed.

May need a bit of time to find another stumper.
Hope all goes well w/ storm recovery.
