Name That Car: Trivia question

Took a couple quick pics of an odd car I saw at a used car/parts place.
Had to ask the store owner what it was.
Anybody want to take a guess as to what it is? Just for the fun of it.

The car beside my SS.

Crosley Automobile . They were built during the war. We have one in town. I see it from time to time. They have a small 4 cylinder motor in them.

Tons of Crosley info and history here, they're cool little critters, just way ahead of their time.

You folks are good at your car trivia.

The shop owner said it was a 1951 Crosmobile. Also said that the engine had been replaced with a Nissan 4 banger by a previous owner.

Crosley

Good on the engine replacement. The original engine block of the Crosley was made of stamped steel segments pressed tightly together then sleeved.

Engines didn't last long but pretty popular car especially during the war as gasoline was rationed.

1954 Kaiser Darrin.

The first production fiberglass sports car in the USA, beating the Corvette to market by one month. Featured a unique "pocket door" design that made the doors slide into the fender of the car. Only 435 were made for the 1954 model year.
