The National Parks - America's Best Idea

Thank you Ken Burns

If you've never seen any of Ken Burns' documentaries this would be a good place to start.
I have a few of his series on DVD and they're some of the best shows I've ever seen.
This is shaping up to be his best so far.

It's on PBS this week.
I don't know if it's on-demand.

Enjoy

IMO all of Ken Burns documentaries are terrific stuff! Thank God for PBS - civilized t.v.viewing at it's best (safe even for your kids/grandkids).
I remember when the proposed public television network idea was considered by some as a socialist plot. Hmmm...

I saw some of this a couple of nights last week and yes it has been a great series. I am not familiar with Ken Burns or the other things you speak of, but what I have seen so far has been fantastic.

He's done several such as The Civil War, Baseball, Jazz, The Brooklyn Bridge, Lewis & Clark, The War (WWII), and others. If you're into American history (as I obviously am) you'd probably enjoy some of these. PBS periodically re-runs some of his previous works.
