Lucky you! If it makes you feel any better, I've NEVER driven west of Topeka. I've heard too much about the long boring drive and I just can't put myself through that. Thanks for the gesture...first round games are always tough, but at least we aren't playing a team that begins with a "B". That'd be the demise of our basketball season.
Be safe, and watch out for those tumbleweeds!

By the way, make sure you bring a few bucks for the toll road between the speedway and Topeka.

Yup, know a bit about the kansas turnpike from my annual trip to Topeka for the NHRA Nationals at Heartland Park. Very nice track. I can't stand toll roads, but the Kansas Turnpike makes for a very smooth ride. As for the tournament, I seriously doubt ku will be the first 1 seed to lose to a 16. In fact, I hate to admit I have kansas in the championship game in my tournament pool at work. Since I work for the University of Missouri, that could be grounds for termination It was very hard for me to pick ku that far, but you guys have a great team. Brandon Rush is a great player, but I'd still take Kareem . Thats the last time I will ever praise the chickenhawks

Don't bet too much on it, though. While Kansas has history on its side in regards to the Tournament, their opponent (Niagara) has recent Kansas Tournament history on theirs, which is to say that Kansas has had a problem recently with looking past dinky teams and toward the next round, and WHOOPS! the dinky team spanks them. If you say it doesn't happen, look at what happened to Duke last night. :P

Well, after the first day I have 13 right and 3 wrong. But really, who would have chosen Duke to lose in the first round? The funny part is we have a pool at work where you pick teams out of a hat and VCU is one of my teams. So I won either way.

Be sure to cheer for the Gators tonight! It's time we had another repeat winner.

To further illustrate my point, Notre Dame lost to Winthrop this afternoon and as I write this Wisconsin is down to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Georgetown will most likely win it all. Pitt just might get to Kansas and beat them. I would love to see an all big east championship. TO ANY DUKE FAN: HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Don't say that too loud around my wife, she's still in a funk over the lousy end to the 'Cats' season.
