sorry man that does suck....hindsight is 20/20 and being told what you should have done is of zero use right now. Best of luck in getting them repayed and hope a job opens up....remember, just because her degree is in one field doesn't mean she can't use it to get her foot in the door especially with the Feds.....the FBI is hiring like crazy and a degree is a pre-req.....just a BA or BS to get an interview...might be worth checking out

I hear you there... My wife and I both got our degrees while working full time and raising our kids. We did not get to right out of high school. My wife went to a comminity college to get her Nursing associates, and I did the University of Phoenix online program.
She got lucky and her employer picked up the tab. Me I was not eligable for grants as I was not a full time student, and my student loans are something like 10-15 years at almost 200.00 amonth.. Mine are in deferment right now, I have to might request one more year of deferment.

I'll get to pay for your schooling, just as I get to pay for those who don't want to pay for their medical insurance, food housing, raising their kids...like I have a bottomless pocket for this.

Could of, should have, would have.. wonderfull ideas in hindside.. Getting a job to save for college, who can save enough to pay for tuition for a 4 year degree with tuition as expensive as it is. And the military is not for everyone.

Try law school. My undergrad payments were nothing--after law school it's another HOUSE payment. Of course, five years out when I'm banking $100k+ on insurance defense, it won't mean as much then.

I'm sure there's plenty of jobs in the fashion industry. Cintas is usually hiring, but I think they're union so you might have an ideological paradox with your new spouse.

What about all of the "old people" soaking up social security, that us young people are paying into? It probably wont be there when it is our time to use it.

I never went to College. My Bad. At the time Parents and I made to much money for any Gov't Loan's. She has one 13k Gov't loan. The Rest are through AES. Her Parents didn't make enough to Send 3 Kids to College and pay for it. Her parents then got Divorced and she did work Part-time through out going to school and she lived at home for 4 of the 5yr's.

If i didn't have her i probably would have gone into the Military.

So thanks for your Wisdom. Got a 50k Year Job for her?
