I have nearly 82,000 miles on my 06 HHR still with the original brakes and rotors. I had them checked and still have 50% left in the pads. Some must use a heavy braking technique to wear them out at 900-2000 miles. The 06 HHR does not have ABS brakes, I wonder if that has something to do with it?

I will buy a chrysler before I buy a GM vehicle again, but the worst part for you is the other people that I speak to and tell them of my experience with your company.

Case in point, My co-worker is considering a full size extended cab 4x4 Pick-up and i had a nice long chat with them at work last night and showed them your blanket bulletin.

They were narrowed down to a Silverado, F-150 and Nissan Titan

was it really worth $663 to lose a $30,000 sale?
You can try Chrysler if you like but after owning a Jeep and a Firebird the past 10 years, I'd stay with GM anyday. Of course my wife's two Honda's blow all of my cars out of the water for reliability and resale but just aren't nearly as fun to look at or drive.
Jeep has 60K now and needs and engine and a tranny. Come to think of it, probably needs u-joints all around, new axles, rust repair... The Firebird only left me stranded once in 98K. Pretty solid car.

Sorry, nurseman, not to bust on you but you have to use the right word to be taken seriously. There is not a single part on any car called a 'roder'. I read your post and even though you made a valid point, the use of the word 'roder' devalued your comments.

Like I tell my kids, words have meaning and they are often not interchangeable; i.e. to use a biblical reference, "thou shall not murder" (as written in the Bible) is NOT the same as "thou shall not kill" which is what the pacifists want you to believe is written. For fun, look up the Communist Russians definition of what they meant when they said they wanted "peace" ('all opposition to the spread of Communism would cease and then peace would be achieved' for those too lazy to look it up) and then compare it to the US definition; a BIG difference. See what I mean? Use the right word when called for.

This word lesson is brought to you by the letter "burgerfirtzqwelch". :-)

Are you referring specifically to your HHR? The 06 model had ABS optional for the LS/1LT and standard on the 2LT.

Tried most in the west end of Toronto/Mississauga and settled on Courtesy Chevrolet, QEW/Hwy 427.
