New chevy Cruze

Just bought the wife a new chevy Cruze!
What a great car for the money!
I think it has a really cool look, Would love to see an SS model with the 2.0 turbo with the 6 speed manuel and posi traction with the GMTU.With all the after market mods available, would make this a really good looking and fast car. I wish that GM would follow fords lead in making there cars with so many options!
The car really drives great I got her the 1.8 liter non turbo. and I love the trans, it shifts so nice and the gearing is great!
Love the way it looks and drives. I can see why they are selling so many.
I would recommend this car to anyone. Just wish they would put a SS model that you could order. It would give the ford escort with ecoboost a run for the money and imo out sell the car.
Come on chevy get with the program. Give your customers what they want!

Congrats on the new addition to your four wheeled family Tim!

Unfortunately an SS model Cruze isn't on Chevy's books, but they are due for a redesign this fall with other engine offerings rumoured.

For my money, the 2.0 TDI Diesel models are the most fun to drive, the clatterbox under the hood makes torque by the truckload. Sadly, they are saddled with a very tall final drive ratio and gearing aimed at hyper mileage eco-weenies, instead of VW's more normal ratios.

Yes kind of figured their not looking to make an ss version, Chevy sonetimes makes me think my Grandma is making all the choices. GM could really sell more cars if they would just offer a more sportier option to most of their cars.
I think most of the consumers are leaning that way, And Ford is the only one listening...just a shame!

Ok Mike. I give..what did you win? I don't know what RDE stands for?
Take care

Neat car those Cruze's what color did she get?
My wife has hinted at a new ride, she's had enough after 12 years of her 2003 Sunfire GT, 330,000 klms or 198,000 miles, I keep it clean there's no rust but she has been hinting and does like the very light blue color!

That is Ford Focus...and I doubt a gm Cruze would ever have anything for it since the Focus is a world class racing competitor.
Cruze is aimed at Asian based semi luxo commuter cars.
It is a good looking car though for sure

Black Tara the Buick Verano comes with the 2.0l turbo and a 6speed manual option. Not sure about LSD even being an option though.

Buick now has a 1.6l turbo motor too. I am surprised GM is not thinking of making it an option for the Cruze.

The chevy cruz has huge hit on their hands with the body style on the cruz.
People have told me it looks like a little BMW. Like I said if they would just offer a 2.0 turbo 6 speed stick with a super sport package, they would sell the heck out of them.

I agree it would be a hit. Even with the 1.6l's 200hp/tq it would still be a hit. The Verano is a Cruze sibling but is a Buick which maybe why they offer the 2.0l in it insted. But then that leads me right back to why not atleast the 1.6l.
