Welcome. I haven't had my HHR all that long but she's got close to a 1000k on her, oh yeah that's almost 600miles...lol. I went in looking to buy a cobalt and fell in love with the HHR that was sitting in the showroom.

I made my first trip to Vegas last December for the half marathon and had a blast. Cool place to visit. I hope to return again but not sure if I can make it for this year.

I'll let you know how the breakfast is soon, but if you ever get the chance, go there on Thanksgiving and order up the turkey dinner!!! I swear it's some of the best turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and all I've ever had

I finally got the chance to snap a decent picture of my HHR today - up on the roof of the Santa Fe Station casino on the north end of town :twothumbs



Now I've just got to find time to get her down to the Welcome Sign and up to the Little A'Le'Inn, the Black Mailbox, and the sign for the Extraterrestrial Highway

She's a pretty stock 2008 LS with the pinstripes and window tint added by the dealership before the sale and I didn't want to fight 'em. Actually, I like the tint Plans for modifications include either chrome or painted mirror caps, possible OEM roof rack, chrome door handles if I go chrome with the mirrors, possible billet grill, possible LED lit exhaust nozzle, likely some interior chrome, and maybe wheels at some distant time in the future. Right now I'm still trying to get used to the whole idea of power accessories, On Star, remote keyless entry, and mileage that just went to triple digits less than a week ago

I swear this is a car I'm going to wash, wax, and keep clean I still can't get over the fact that I have a car that's so freaking COOL !!!

Your car looks great! The pinstriping is cool. Looking forward to more pics as you let "mod fever" take control.

Thanks for the kind words! The dealer tinted the windows and put the striping on the car before I ever saw it, but I like it anyway so it's cool I haven't quite decided which direction to take with mods yet, so it could be retro or it could be something else entirely. Heck, I'm an aviation nut so I might try to find something there. If she were silver, I'd have to go with fighter plane markings, but short of an entire repaint, I don't see that happening. Maybe I'll continue the Buffett theme and go totally tropical in the desert :twothumbs

I've also decided to name my HHR "Trevor" after the fictional character Trevor Kane in Jimmy Buffett's book Where is Joe Merchant? Trevor is actually a girl - a major character in the book, the girlfriend of one of the other major characters, and the sister of the title character Joe Merchant. All my cars have been given girl names
