It's optional. Just like the spoiler and polished wheels. 2LT is the chrome package, 2.4L engine, sport suspension, and maybe some other things. Everything else is still optional.

2008 2LT's come with running boards. 2007's don't.

Thanks for the welcome

I can see that I am in good company here. Sport red metallic seems to be fairly poplar on here also. I really do like this color. The '08 changed up to Cardinal Red which also looks great. We sure do love this car and it is fun to drive and sport around in. As HillsdaleHHR said, the '08 2LT comes standard with running boards but the for the '07 it was a $445 option.
