Nice Start to my Christmas....

Christmas is still a couple hours away and boy did I start it off wrong! Having Christmas dinner/gifts at my sister's house and arrived there around 4pm today. Started eating and a piece of roast became lodged in my throat. It was a small piece and very stringy. Well, I do not know how it happened but I was suddenly choking. I couldn't get it out but was still able to get some air to my lungs. My family called 9.1.1 and I was rushed to the hospital. Luckly, on the way we hit a pothole and I swallowed the said piece of meat. For once in my life, I am glad the roads here suck!! Was in the ER for about 2 1/2 hours getting evaluated. Mostly, to check to see if I had asperiated the roast into my lungs. Had a chest X-ray and my vitals checked out, which everything looked perfect. So, we went back and continued our night. I guess I got a gift this year I wasn't expecting or looking forward to getting, MY LIFE! Plus, my first ride in an ambulance. Anyways, I was told I have a small windpipe and esopgraius. No damage done expect for a sore throat.

Merry Christmas,

Dave

Gee Dave, sorry to hear about the bad start to the holiday weekend, please take care of yourself. There is always something to be thankful for even on the worst days, sometimes if its only a well placed pothole. Have a very Merry Christmas, and take it easy.

They say it's the "small" things in life that will kill you.
Glad you're still kicking.
Hoping the rest of your Holiday is safe.
Have a Safe New Years.
