I know this isn't an HHR...heck it ain't even a Chevy....but it is my passion....I love this little car. I restored it completely by myself...it came to me with a crushed rear quarter panel, the hatch was non-existant, the interior was toast and it hadn't ran in 6 years...I did all the mechanical work myself, got her running, then I did all the interior work, got her looking real sharp and then I tackled the bodywork....what a learning experience that was....did you know that you can't leave body filler on for 3 days and then expect it to sand right off! Learned that lesson the hard way!
Anyway....take a look at my baby.....and humor me.....I know it's a FORD, but it's a Mustang II.....the forgotten pony.
Thanx...Anita

Nice looking "Stang" and nice job restoring.
I'm not much for liking most of the cars of the 70's. They almost looked as if the manufacturers were trying to hard.
But you, absolutely, have something for memories.

Normally, I'd say the only thing good about a Mustang II is the front suspension that can easily be grafted onto an old pickup to get it in the weeds, but that's a sharp looking little car!
Is it a 4-banger or did you do a V8 conversion? Some of those little four's can run with the right mods.

Thanx to all of you for your kind words about my little Stang. It was truly a labor of love for me while restoring her. She was one sad little pony when I got her. The car is a 2.3L 4 cyl and I am in hopes of modding the engine over the spring. Not real sure just yet what that will entail, but I know a new, bigger cam is part of the plan. I would have to rework the front clip and radiator area to get this car to take a V8, the motor cavity is about 6 inches too shallow to accept the V8 like it sits right now. Just as a bit of Mustang trivia for you....the 1974 is one of the more rarer Mustangs, as it is solely year specific on it's front end parts, can't use anything other than a 74 part on the front clip, it also was the first year that Ford won Car of the Year awards for a Mustang and it is in the top ten list for most sold.....it ranks no. 3.....and finally for all the crap that I catch at car shows over my II from these people who call themselves "Real Mustang Enthusiasts" and they tell me about my car having Pinto parts in it.....my best come back ever is this....."There is less Pinto in mine than there is Falcon in yours"! That usually brings the negative comments to a screeching halt (teeheehee)
Anyway....I have rambled on long enough....
