Thumbs up Oldie but a Goodie: "The Last of the Mohicans" [movie]

AMC had this on tonight. Hadn't seen it in years. Absolutely epic film. Maybe its because I've been to the areas near where it was filmed (western North Carolina... Piedmont region), but I really get in to this movie. Close my eyes and I can smell the black powder smoke, and feel the spray as they walked under the water fall.

One of the best history themed movies of all time.

Daniel Day Lewis, what a hunk! Or, at least that's what I thought the first time I saw that movie. It's about 15 years old, right? Still a great one!

Have youn sean the Nike commercial with Sean Merrimen and Steven Jackson set to the music from "Last of the Mohicans"? It is so cool.

Watched it too, and also saw The Picture of Dorian Gray. Still waiting for AMC or TMC to air one of my favorite old movie, The Call of the Wild.

My history teacher made us watch it, and while I do remember that it was a good movie, all I really remember specifically was the guy chasing the deer at the beginning... You have to be in some sort of superhuman shape if you can chase a deer while loading a black-powder gun

Most definitely, but it was the diseases (and pre-modern medical "care") that got ya back then.
