Once again a new job.

Once again a new job.
2010 has been a rough year in many ways for me,the most difficult being the loss of not one but two jobs. That's why I haven't posted anything lately.I've been feeling very down about losing the last job even though it was more stressful than any other dealer parts job I've ever had.I was having days that I dreaded going in there-quite abnormal for me as I've always enjoyed being a GM parts guy.
Anyway,on Monday 11-1 I start a new chapter in my career as I will be a fork lift/hi-lo parts guy. This should prove interesting as I know zilch about those things other than some run on propane, some are electric and they all are very heavy.
For all of my fellow HHRers and/or their family members who are out of work not by choice, hang in there.Get a resume' out there and keep plugging away.

I feel your pain, Tony.
Was laid off from a job of 16 years last year due to two people who could not get along, so the only way one could get rid of the other was to shut down my office -- I was collateral damage to pettiness.
Took me 6 months to find a job ---pay was way less then what i was making before, but was realistic, and it was in my field (higher education), so took it. Took me a month to realize how much i loathed it, but stayed.
i cried going in almost every day. So, I think my boss was a little offended when i seemed so happy he laid me off this week.
Don't want to go back on unemployment again, but it will allow me to finish school on time (next May) - unemployed with a doctorate! yeah me!
Good luck on your new job (I am still applying for jobs) -- you'll do great!

Good luck to anyone that has lost their jobs. My wife has been in that boat since last December. It's been very hard on our family but, we keep chugging alone.
We have lost many things (cars being the main things that were lost). Cars were the last things that were going to be paid.
Lord only knows what is in store for us, hopefully things will get better soon.
