Our New "OLD" Ride
So over the past week I have been over at my Mom's getting one of our family cars towable! We are the second owners and have owned this 1960 Corvair since 1964! It has 60,000 miles on it and has been garaged it's hole life (talk about a rust free California car)! It also has sat for 35 years so there will be some work to do! Glad most of our HHR mods are finished so I can bring this solid car back to life !
Enjoy:
All in All not to bad of shape for a 50 plus year old car and a "BIG" Thank You to 843de "Mike" for your Corvair knowledge!
Thanks for Looking ,

I betcha Mike will love this!! I see one around town here that looks like a piece of crap but I think the guy uses it as his daily driver, so what do you expect. Yours looks pretty nice, in pretty good condition for its age. Have fun with it!

Ah Ha..... Since you remember bias ply's do you remember the cost? These are 165 x 13's..... Maybe $35.00 back in the day! Well Coker Tire seems to be the only game in town and now cost $160.00 each! I'll need 5 as I want to do it right and include a nos spare !

Awesome car Kevin! What a time capsule you have there.I love the dash pad. Is that stock?
It looks like it won't take much to make it a show winner.
The best part is these are from a simpler time and all you need are simple hand tools and a good manual.

the Dash, can you say Tiajuana Tuck-n-Roll, ..... My Dad had it done along with the rest of the interior in the late 60's! She's a keeper !

Kevin-
That's really Sweet... I learned to drive in my Uncle's '61 auto with gear selector on the dash. I was like 13..
Very nice score..
Besides the super cool Tuck-n-roll dash, I see a Grant* custom wooden steerting wheel.
