I use to flat tow my Jeep and the tow bar was a "V" shape so it pulled from the frame rails. to the best of my memory (which is pretty shot) I've never seen a vehicle in tow, that has one central attachment point.

Maybe for a bike rack?

If it were to tow the HHR behind a motorhome, it would have baseplates (tabs) coming out of the lower grille on the left and right; you would never use a front mounted receiver for towing the car.

Nice black grille...

I thought it did, if it's getting towed on all 4 wheels? Not sure though...
