Just wanted to see what everyone thought of the groundhogs prediction about the future weather.

Either way there are six (6) more weeks of winter (according to the calendar). Spring arrives on March 20th. But I hope he is right....it has been a long cold and snowy winter here in OH.

Whether he's right or wrong, its good sometimes to suspend our reliance on high tech wizardry and embrace the predictions of a bleary eyed 12lb rodent. Besides, you can always depend on a sleepy rodent to be honest.

I vote for an early spring -- going to be perhaps 75-80 here in the OC (sorry).

Not gloating -- rain is predicted for this week I hear (Feb is usually the rainy month).

If you've never experienced SoCal when it rains Greybeard its hard to describe, its like everyone is trying out to be a Hollywood stunt driver. I've seen antics when southerners encounter snow/ice, but folks there seem inclined to hit everything.
