Such a shame, but years of drug abuse and Hep C caused her to require a kidney transplant in the late 2000's.

A lovely voice silenced.

She had a hard time getting her due. The paper this morning said "daughter of jazz legend dies."

She was a 9 time Grammy winner, multiple platinum albums, Emmy nominee, best new artist of 1975, etc. She deserves to be remembered for her own accolades.
