Hey all, I'd like to start something, I'd like to see what the members here think about their HHR's name. Here is how it will go, a member will share with us the name of their HHR, and will give a brief description of how they came up with that name. then the other member's job is to rate their HHR's name! .....right now, there is only one rule to this....You CANNOT rate your own car name....thats the job of the other members!

OK...I will start first!

My HHR's name is Wheelie, the reason why I named him that is because When I went to pick him up from the dealer to take him home, a vision of the little red cartoon VW Beetle named Wheelie popped in my head, Which one a cartoon I liked when I was a child....So when I finished the paperwork, I named my new member of my family Wheelie, and brought him home....

Scale of 1-10, 1 being lowest and 10 highest?

 

yes....1 being bad..and as the number increases...the better the rating...sorry I did not include that..:)

 

I would have to score yours a little on the low side. About a 4
Wheelie was more a compact and red. Your "Wheelie" isn't so compact and blue. Hard to connect the "dots".

My HHR name is "Dory". Named after the Regal Blue Tang from the movie "Finding Nemo".
My wife's mentally handicapped sister just blurted it out the first time she seen my HHR, and there is no talking her out of a name once she decides on a car's name.

 

I would rate Wheelie a 10. If that's what you felt at the time, then you named him correctly.

I rate Dory a 10 as well. The first time I saw your cars' name, I totally got it. Great choice of names.

I named mine "Chops". The day I test drove the car, all I could think was "I feel like this car has a personality from the gangster days, like 'Pork Chops' Pollini (as in Italian mobster). I just referred to him as Chops since then....

 

awww......bless her soul, because of that reason, Ill rate yours a 10...and as for Wheelie, I know the cartoon car was red and little, but to me, the HHR just reminded me of it.....so..Its a Modern Day Wheelie!, instead of being it a VW bug, Its a Chevy HHR with the same CHARGE musical tone..heehee!

My HHR was first named Orange Bomb, but wanted a different name.
So during a run and a g2g to Naples, those that attended renamed it NEMO.
NEMO is the Clown Fish from "Finding Nemo".
Like the Fish, who really can not swim a straight line due to one of its fins being smaller than the other, I do not like to hit bumps in the road and would move to avoid them.
So from then on NEMO was named!
