Unhappy Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees' dead at 62

And the hits keep on a comin' this year, another music legend gone too soon as news has come of the passing of Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees' at age 62.

Whether you remember the Bee Gees' from the Disco Era in the late 70's, or from their amazing body of work spanning from the 60's to 2003, its another loss for music fans worldwide.

Robin lost his fight against cancer today, he'll be missed, R.I.P.

Bee Gees go back before Disco. Late 60s overseas (to us).
"I've gotta get a Message to you" and "I Started a Joke" 1968 are the first memorable ones for me.

Sad to hear we've lost another.

I remember "Masachusetts" from that period as well.. I drove a delivery van for a while (in MA) for my dad's company in the '80s, and the only good music on the AM radio was from that era. I liked it because I wasn't a disco fan, anyway, and those old songs sounded better on AM, anyway. Yes, I am dating myself there...

It is kind of sad, but he had really had a rough go of it lately. I heard he was in and out of a coma, and had lost lots of weight.

Try spinning Disco midnight to 3am Fri and Sats night in a hardcore southern rock market in the late 70s.... I hated call ins.
