So, you comes to a place where the road splits. Down one road is the village of The Liars, and down the other is the village of The Truthtellers. A man sits at the fork in the road, but you do not know which village he is from. You are seeking the village of The Truthtellers. You must ask him for directions. What one thing do you ask him to insure your arrival at your desired destination?

 

Ask him which way to the village of liars.

 

Nope.

 

Well then just use your GPS and save some time, because "real men never ask directions"

 

Ask him which way the other would point if ask the way to the truth teller village.

The liar knowing the truth teller will point to the right direction will lie and point to the liar village (a lie).

The truth teller will point to the liar village knowing the liar knows the truth teller would point to the truth teller village will lie and point to the liar village will also point to the liar village (the truth).

Just go the opposite direction that either one points to gets you to the truth teller village.

And this is why I'm a pilot, you can't pull over to ask directions, but Doc can always shout down from his balloon.

 

And then do what with the directions? Steer? I think he already knows where he's going.
