Was going to order some brake pads and rotors for my wife's car (Hyundai, front and rears ) Was filling out the order form on that "site" where we can get a discount and was shocked at the shipping charge options.
I've bought many parts from this site in the past. I just don't recall the basic shipping charge being so high before.
Just wondering if anyone else had noticed this ? And that Faster Shipping is a real eye opener !!! $659.98 !!!
I think that’s for overnight. FedEx is very expensive, and with the price of fuel, shipping costs have jumped! Especially on a heavy shipment, such as brake rotors and pads. It’s not the site’s fault, it’s the courier.
I ordered front rotors and pads for a friends 2015 Ford Escape, cheapest option for freight was by truck, $85.00.
Not overnight Steve. Look again. That was the cheapest option with a 6 day delivery window.
OK. That was for a set of PowerStop rotors and pads, shipping of $54.98. I went back to the RA site and put a different set in the checkout cart like RJ suggested. For the cheaper Centric set, shipping is only $16.98.
(Thanks RJ )
Tried a search of that PowerStop part #. Couldn't find it anywhere as cheap as RA. In fact, RA is about $50-60 cheaper than the "Ships Free" one's I found.
Hmmmm. I'm starting to understand now......
I see, not overnight, but Thursday August 4 9:30 am. The difference in price for the other brand could be because of shipping location possibly closer to your address
Not the point. They are not a monolithic establishment, vendors sell thing on the website. Some vendors send product to a warehouse to be fulfilled by RA, some vendors fulfill their own orders; just like Amazon. Depends on the contract.
