I do not know who the kid is. My photos of my Buick are still in need of scanning, so I found that one on the internet . Same car and color. Different kid( Not me ) He does make the picture interesting though!

Here's me in '72 with my uncle Donald and some mystery blue car.

I think the car behind his is a Dodge Coronet wagon. We kept it in the front yard for a while and tried to fix it. I remember my dad's friend sleeping in it when my mom would not let him in the house. Dad's friend had just got out of the joint. He was put away for bank robbing and mom did not want him in the house!
I did not know this for some years. Too bad as I would have liked to have bugged him as only a kid could do to a bank robber

Ah, old cars and memories!! Ya never know where these threads will go a wanderin'..........

My First car was A 49 Fleetline Chevy. Pale green with Green and red interior.
It had a three speed vacum shift that hung up if you did not double clutch it.
I paid $150 for it in 1960.

My first car is in there.............somewhere. It was a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 fastback. That thing could fly! Only problem I had with it was it needed rings real bad. It smoked so bad I looked like mosquuito control coming down the street. Then I gave it to my brother......he wasn't a very good driver and we'll leave it at that

My first was a 1963 Ford Fairlane I paid $40 for. It had a 260 V-8 & needed a valve job. So I did it myself, and didn't seat one properly, apparently. A couple of months later, it dropped a valve & blew out the side of the engine. There was a hole in the piston wall I could put my fist in. I sold it for $35 and bought a 1972 Lemans GT with a 350, 3 speed on the floor. It was geared so low I could pull out in 3rd on level ground. Dad made me get rid of it a few months later because it was too fast and I was trying to prove it.
