Single Gender Public School

It depends on the private school. Usually the "upper crust" Catholic schools get the cream of the crop and those kids are ivy league-bound. Other private schools, usually those of the local Baptist variety, specialize in sending kids to Bible colleges to get unaccredited degrees in Intelligent Design and Creation Science or technical schools to learn welding and diesel engine maintenance. Then there's the in-between private schools, usually not affiliated with a religious organization, where the same percentage of kids go to college as those in public schools.

Honestly, the problem in Atlanta isn't the schools. It's the parents and the environment the children are growing up in that are causing 99% of their performance problems.

Actually there is a public school here locally in Arizona, that just finished the semester with all boys classes. Results indicate the boys did much better in studying and subject grades when not competeing with girls. If I find the article I'll post it.

Not condoning it, just providing additional info.
