man, i have no idea what happened, but i run a club for f-bodies. We have this issue every so often. Unless it is posted in the lounge at our site, i has to be specific discussion about f-bodies. I try to uphold a "mautre" standard at my site, but somtimes things get out of hand. Thats what mods are for and Private Messages. It is amazing how some ppl will act with the anonimity of the internet to hide behind. I always hate to see ppl leave a group.
As for the "family hhr" site, i joined there as well and i must say some of the discussions there are very civil, pleasant to be a part of, mature, and informative.
Not to burst anyones bubble, but we all drive a 4 door, 4 banger, grocery hauler that happens to look really nice and is a great platform to mod. I dont really find myself feeling "macho" driving mine, but that is not why i bought it. If i want to get my macho pumping i jump in my camaro, hit the purge and take off.
everyone is entitled to thier opinion, and if you have a differing one than another you can respectfully agree to disagree, or take it offline to discuss at length..

DOH, forgot bout the hatch. I guess my camaro is a 3 door in reality. And i agree, this site is very good, as is the other. A lot of ppl have done some hard work to get sites like these up and running. I know first hand what it takes. It is just a shame when topics like this even need to be started. I awlays tell my members, there is an Ignore feature for a reason, the PM's can be your friend, and mods have the power to mediate.

Don't leave Dylan. I'm in KY, and we've not had a chance to meet yet. Most of the problems here are caused by a few people. I do Human Resources as a living, and spend most of my time keeping feelings out of the work place. My suggestion to all is.......If it offends you, don't read it. If the replys offend you, don't read it. I want to talk about HHR's. I've learned so much on this board. My salesman even calls me for information. Reconsider your decision, we need more KY folks here.

Or if you know your going to offend other with your feelings don't post it. If you know your going against our admins rules of no religion and politics don't post it.

Ah Cap, we probably offend someone everytime we say something. I probably offend folks with my Applachian accent when I travel to other places. I offend PT Cruiser people just by driving an HHR. We have a right to say what we want to say. We also have a right to ignore things. My Dad is a Baptist Minister. I am a Methodist....(go figure). My Dad is a veteran of WW II, I was a Vietnam protester. My Dad is a Republician, I am a Democrat. When he starts the religion / war / politics conversation I ignore it or change the subject. He will never change me, and I will never change him, but I love him and respect his rights. No sense in arguing about it.

Good point. I suck! It's just with such a variety of people on this site we really need to overlook politics and religion. I know it's hard for some because their feelings are so strong but that's the only solution. I wonder if these same people act that way in their daily lives. I know if I went around talking about my Atheistic anti-Christian ways and Democratic Socialist beliefs with non like minded or open individuals I would be getting in fights non stop. That's why I tend to leave religion and politics out of my daily life and conversations, until I’m pushed too far. Everyone should extend the same respect and not force their beliefs on others!

Man, I missed the whole first thread, but went back and read it - I wouldn't go so far as to say Dylan's Christmas post is "offensive", but there's absolutely nothing in that (corny) poem that wouldn't have been summed up simply by saying "Merry Christmas".
And for those of you who are going to say "Well, PhxHHR, you know that some people are offended by the saying 'Merry Christmas'", well, then, I'm sure Dylan could post all other versions of the saying. Besides, I think that Americans overall (regardless of religion or political nature) have recently begun accepting the fact that it's just plain o.k. to say "Merry Christmas" without invoking all of the stuff that people try to tag onto it. I mean, when I say Merry Christmas, I mean everything - hope you get what you want, get drunk, get together with family, play in the snow, enjoy your kids, take a cruise in the cold weather, relax and take a day off from work, etc. I am saying it because of the time of year, and don't adhere ANYTHING else to it other than what it meant when I was a kid - you know, before we clouded our minds with all this other senseless b.s.
