i would like to offer a friendly match: pt cruiser gt vs hhr ss


first - this cannot obviously be a stock vs. stock matchup because lets face it - the ss would win. but, the ptgt has been in service for 6 years running now and is on it's way out, while the ss is just coming in.


so i would like to offer a friendly race to anyone with an ss who is willing. location in the country doesn't matter as long as i can find someone willing to race you, or, if you're near me, i would be happy to meet somewhere - preferrably a track for me.


i'm not here to start stuff, just to really see what these vehicles are capable of. if you're interested please let me know and where you're located and i can see if i can find someone near you.

April 27th 2008, Millbrook HS in Winchester, VA - MBCA autoX event I will be there in a Black SS have some one show up if they are game. I will be running a Stock Auto SS. Not doing anymore drag racing had enough of that with the GTO.

SO you want to race a stock HHRSS with a modifiied PTGT?

Isn't the purpose of a comparision to see what is better off the shelf? Plus you have to remember that a auto HHRSS is slower than the 5speed model. So maybe a auto HHRSS to any PTGT and then the HHRSS 5speed comes in to clean house......

 

Thats cool either way I will be there cause I need to see if this thing handles the way they say it does.

 

that's pretty funny considering how long it took chevy to come out with the hhr ss...

i mean face it: if chevy DIDNT improve on the ptgt it would be a loss for all of us... that would mean cars are going backwards... and we don't like that... so...

if you want a modern off the shelf race, why don't you go pick on a caliber srt4 and see what happens


the only reason for this was because chevy took the pt designer, made the pt bigger and more angular, and then finally got around to doing a turbo version...


i am simply offering some friendly competition between cousin cars... sorry you don't get it...
