Star Cars....... Whats yor top 5
There used to be several versions of the original Herbie on a lot at Disney studios in Burbank that could be seen from the freeway. When I worked at Universal I went by the cars from American Graffiti. When Knight Rider was being filmed there was a railcar full of extra Firebirds.
1. The American Graffitti yellow 5 window..."THX 138" (the license number)
2. The American Graffitti white and scalloped '58 Chevy
3. Stallone's Mercury from Cobra
4. The Raiders Coach
5. Norm Grabowski's bucket
but I could go on all day, these just fit the mood this morning!!!

Glad somebody is including cartoon cars into the discussion, since there've been quite a few hits and even more misses (remember that Gawdawful NASCAR Racers show?
).
My personal Top 5, starting from the bottom:
#5: Casanova Frankenstein's stretch Corvette limo from "Mystery Men."
#4: UHF - Weird Al's Nash Metropolitan.
#3: A bit more obscure, but a bone to toss to the otaku out there: a Japanese anime miniseries called "Gunsmith Cats" had a character driving a '69 Shelby GT500 in race trim around Chicago. A related one-time show called "Riding Bean" had a custom car called the "Buff" which looked to be half-Viper, half-Ferrari, with some special mods such as the ability to drive sideways 90 degrees. Those two are tied.
(from the crowd:
GET ON WITH IT!!
)
Sorry.
#2: McQueen's okay from "Cars," but I think I prefer Ramone myself.
And my #1? What else could it be, since I used to drive a similar car (even the same color): KITT. How can you not put a car that was not only the star but the *title element* of its own TV show out of this slot?

OK, seriously, you guys already have most of my favorites. I don't think I could narrow down a top 5 though, but here goes....
'71 Cuda from Nash Bridges

'70 Charger from The Fast and the Furious.

The General Lee

Christine!!! Plymouth Fury
Not one of my favorite cars, but that car in that movie was awesome!!!

Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds

I didn't have much time but ones I would like to see are some of the rides from "The Hollywood Knights" I know the yellow Project X 57 was in that. Was "greased lightning" a 38 Ford? All the great rides of American Grafitti. How about Bannacek and all his mopars and rides. Jim Rockfords Gold Firebird!
Ok here are my submissions:

The 70 Challenger from "Vanishing Point".

The 68 Dodge Charger from "Blade" (not sure on that, but it is a mopar!)
The 67 purple GTO from"xXx"

A great old movie of our buddy "Jack"

Another cool movie
